Tiller Strickland retired from the US Army as a First Sergeant (E-8) and graduated from USC with a bachelors degree in Religions Studies and Philosophy. He is currently working as a Certified Endovascular and Vascular Surgical Technologist at Lexington Medical Center.

Tiller is married to Mary Kelley (Airport High School Class of 1970). He has four children from a previous marriage and 10 and one on the way grandchildren. Mary has two boys from a previous marriage.
