Marvin Haygood and his wife, Mary, have been married 39 years and they have two sons – Bryant (30) and Javan (33). They have two grandsons, Kobe (3) and Raven (2).

Marvin earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science Degree in Management from Southern Wesleyan University. He is currently the Assistant Institutional Administrator at the Midlands Evaluation Center, SC Department of Juvenile Justice. He is a Retired Army Sergeant Major with 24 years of service. He has been awarded the US Army Legion of Medical Merit Medal, the Army Achievement Award (8), Army Commendation Medal (9), Meritorious Service Medal (6) and the Army Legion of Merit Medal. He is a Deaconand a Sunday School Teacher at Calvary Holiness Church of God.

Marvin and Mary enjoy traveling, fishing and visits from their grandchildren.
