Susan Chalk Brazelle attended Winthrop College for 2 1/2 years. When she returned home she went to work for SC Farm Bureau Insurance.
She married David Connelly in 1973. They had 3 children Gretchen
(1978), Brian and Matthew (1982). Susan married Jimmy Brazelle, an original member of an R & B beach music group The Sensational Epics, in 1994. She has 4 step children and 3 step grandchildren. Susan completed her degree at Southern Wesleyan University while working at the 'farm'. She retired from the 'farm' last May after various positions the last as an IT Business Analyst. Susan is currently a church organist and works part-time with Lexington District Schools as an after-school director. She enjoys boating, needlework, reading and working outside.
