James “Skip” Cartin married Caroline Wylie in 1977. They have three children, Walt (28) law student at USC, Susie (26) doctoral student at USC, and Rion (23) accountant with Price, Waterhouse, Cooper. Skip is the senior pastor at Western Avenue Baptist Church in Statesville, NC. Skip and Caroline travel extensively in the Middle East strengthening and encouraging the underground church and reaching Muslims with the gospel.
